**GENERAL FUNCTIONS** * Collect and prepare the necessary documentation to begin the preparation of customs entries for customs clearance, and keep the client informed about the status of their merchandise. **SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS** * Preparation of customs entries (pedimentos) * Review that the documentation sent by clients is complete and correct. * As proof that documentation has been reviewed, initial the invoice covering the received merchandise. * Enter the customs entry data according to the information on the work sheet. * Send necessary information to the warehouse to generate shipper's documents, as well as load orders for trucks located in the warehouse. * Coordinate the cross-border movement and customs clearance of goods. * Comply with the requirements of the ISO-9001:2008 quality standard. **SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION** Knowledge of: * Fields included in a customs entry (pedimento) * Software used for preparing customs entries * Customs Law, its regulations, and other applicable customs provisions * Tariff schedule * Customs operations manual * Goods classification * Ability to carry out any import procedure * Proficiency in computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) * Knowledge of Darwin software * Good communication skills and ability to work in a team **NOTABLE ASPECTS:** * Requires long daily hours; some tasks must be performed under pressure, yet always with a positive attitude. * Professional appearance required **WORK RELATIONSHIPS:** * Internally: All agency staff * Externally: Clients, clients' suppliers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and U.S. customs brokerage agencies.
