**Objective:** The optical fiber splicer is responsible for performing optical fiber splicing using precise and efficient techniques, ensuring reliable network connectivity. In addition, provides technical support to installers, conducts OTDR testing, and ensures proper handling of work trucks. **Requirements:** * Flexible availability, teamwork, ability to analyze and solve problems, reporting skills. * Previous experience in optical fiber splicing, preferably in a telecommunications environment. * Completed high school education or equivalent. * Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends. **Responsibilities:** * Perform optical fiber splicing using fusion or mechanical splicing techniques. * Prepare and organize the work area prior to splicing, ensuring it is clean, safe, and properly equipped. * Conduct OTDR tests to verify the integrity and efficiency of the optical fiber network. * Perform insertion and/or power tests to verify the integrity and efficiency of the optical fiber network. * Maintain accurate records of all activities performed, including splices completed, tests conducted, and materials used.
