




Job Summary: Customs clearance coordinator responsible for preparing customs entry forms (pedimentos), reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance with ISO-9001:2008 standards, working under pressure. Key Responsibilities: 1. Coordination of cargo crossing and customs clearance 2. Knowledge of Customs Law and commodity classification 3. Ability to handle import procedures and operate computer software **GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES** * Collect and prepare necessary documentation to initiate preparation of customs entry forms (pedimentos) for customs clearance, and keep clients informed about the status of their cargo. **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES** * Prepare customs entry forms (pedimentos) * Verify that documentation submitted by clients is complete and accurate * Sign or initial the invoice covering received cargo as evidence of document review * Enter customs entry form (pedimento) data according to the work sheet information * Send required information to the warehouse for preparing shipper's documents, as well as loading instructions for trucks located at the warehouse * Coordinate cargo crossing and customs clearance * Comply with ISO\-9001:2008 quality standard requirements **NECESSARY SKILLS FOR THIS POSITION** Knowledge of: * Fields comprising a customs entry form (pedimento) * Software used for preparing customs entry forms (pedimentos) * Customs Law, its regulations, and other customs-related provisions * Tariff schedule * Customs operational manual * Commodity classification * Ability to perform any import procedure * Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, Power\-Point, etc.) * Familiarity with Darwin software * Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team **NOTABLE ASPECTS:** * Requires long daily working hours; some tasks are performed under pressure, yet always with the best attitude * Professional appearance **WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:** * Internally: All staff of the customs agency * Externally: Clients, clients' suppliers, carriers, warehouse personnel, and U.S. customs agencies Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $3,000\.00 \- $4,000\.00 per week Education: * Completed technical college degree (Preferred) Experience: * Customs agency experience: 2 years (Mandatory) Language: * English (Mandatory) Work Location: On-site employment
