





CIJ is a health-sector institution whose objective is to promote mental health and prevent addictions through community participation. It operates a nationwide network of 120 service units. Apprentices joining CIJ must hold at least a higher-education degree and wish to complete their professional practice or social service, preferably holding bachelor’s degrees in psychology, social work, medicine, pedagogy, nursing, nutrition, or related fields. II. Training Characteristics and Content Through CIJ’s “Addiction Prevention and Health Promotion” program, university and high school students are theoretically, methodologically, and technologically equipped to foster healthy and sustainable lifestyles across diverse contexts. Training is conducted in a semi-presential format—both at CIJ service units and off-site locations including schools, health centers, sports facilities, and other community spaces. Apprentices may spend up to four days per week (within their scheduled hours) outside CIJ premises, depending on activity programming such as the following: * Informative talks or forums on mental health and addictions for various population groups. * Health fairs and preventive campaigns, primarily targeting adolescents and youth in schools or within communities. * Sports, cultural, artistic, and educational activities involving children, adolescents, youth, and their families, promoting positive use of leisure time, social coexistence, and health care. * Environmental care initiatives and creation or preservation of green spaces. * Social activation events aligned with commemorative dates or national health strategies. * Psychoeducational workshops for children, adolescents, and mothers/fathers. * Community participation, organization, and development events. * Development of didactic and digital resources to strengthen protective factors among children, youth, families, and collectives. * Administrative support tasks and organizational duties at service units. For online training, a self-managed virtual classroom is available, featuring instructional guides, didactic materials, discussion forums, assessments, and other elements supporting the acquisition of specialized knowledge in mental health and addictions.
