Ideal for entry-level career in industrial automation or project management Position Summary Automation HR is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Assistant to support automation and robotics projects within the automotive and industrial manufacturing sectors. This position is ideal for a entry-level candidate looking to begin a career in industrial automation, or project management. The Project Management Assistant will help coordinate project activities, maintain schedules, track documentation, communicate with internal teams and customers, and support day-to-day project execution. This role offers exposure to robotics integration, controls engineering, manufacturing processes, installation activities, and customer-facing project coordination. Key Responsibilities · Assist Project Managers with daily coordination of automation and robotics projects. · Help maintain project schedules, action-item lists, and progress updates. · Track purchase orders, material deliveries, tooling, and project milestones. · Support preparation of quotations, reports, meeting notes, and project documentation. · Coordinate communication between engineering, controls, fabrication, installation, and customer teams. · Assist with travel planning, logistics, and scheduling for field personnel. · Help organize project files, drawings, revisions, and customer documentation. · Participate in project meetings and follow up on assigned action items. · Monitor open issues and escalate delays or risks to Project Managers. · Support jobsite readiness activities and installation coordination. · Learn company standards, customer requirements, and automation project workflows. Preferred Qualifications · Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in: o Industrial Engineering o Manufacturing Engineering o Business Management o Or related technical field · 1–2 years of experience preferred. (If not years of experience at least internship in an Automotive Plant) · Strong organizational and communication skills. · Basic understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments preferred. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Project. · Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. · Willingness to learn automation systems, robotics, and industrial processes. · Ability to travel occasionally to customer facilities if required. · Bilingual English/Spanish is a must.
