Review the Production Sheet to understand which various baked goods must be produced daily. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and the food preparation checklist. Maintain kitchen logs to comply with the food safety program. Keep the Executive Chef informed about surplus food items for planning of daily specials. Safely and properly use tools, equipment, and appliances for measuring and baking to prepare oven-baked meals. Follow and ensure compliance with food handling safety policies and procedures, including personal hygiene protocols. Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report any issues to management. Monitor food quality and portion sizes served throughout the workday. Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model. Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; complete all required safety trainings and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Communicate with others using clear and professional language and answer phones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team in achieving common goals; handle sensitive issues with tact, respect, and confidentiality. Serve as a departmental role model or mentor. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance. Navigate sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Reach above head height and below knee level, including bending, twisting, turning, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: Diploma from a technical, trade, or vocational school.
