




**Fire Detection Systems Maintenance Technician** **Location:** Cancún, Quintana Roo **Contract Type:** Full-time / Project-based **Department:** Maintenance / Security / Risk Prevention **Reports To:** Maintenance Supervisor or Security Coordinator **Position Objective** Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities on fire detection and alarm systems, ensuring their optimal operation and compliance with current regulations, thereby contributing to the safety of people and facilities. **Key Responsibilities** * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on smoke, heat, water flow, and fire alarm detection systems. * Diagnose faults in control panels, sensors, sirens, notification devices, and wiring. * Conduct functional tests in accordance with applicable standards (NFPA, NOM-002-STPS, etc.). * Replace defective components and perform necessary adjustments. * Prepare technical reports detailing performed activities, equipment conditions, and recommendations. * Assist in the installation and commissioning of new systems. * Maintain inventory of assigned spare parts and tools. * Comply with personal and site-specific safety protocols during interventions. * Provide basic training to clients on system operation and maintenance. **RequirementsAcademic Qualifications** * Technical degree in Electricity, Electronics, Security Systems, Industrial Maintenance, or related field. * Certification in fire protection systems (desirable). **Experience** * Minimum 1 year of experience in fire protection or electronic security systems maintenance. * Knowledge of low-voltage electrical circuits and alarm systems. **Technical Skills** * Proficiency with electrical measurement tools (multimeter, continuity tester). * Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and installation blueprints. * Basic knowledge of fire detection panel programming (e.g., Siemens, Notifier, Bosch). * Basic proficiency with reporting software and office applications. **Soft Skills** * Attention to detail and sense of responsibility. * Ability to work under pressure and in confined spaces. * Strong communication skills with clients and team members. * Willingness to travel within the Cancún area and its surroundings. **Mandatory Requirements** * Valid driver’s license (for standard vehicle). * Availability to rotate shifts occasionally (e.g., for on-call duties). * Residency in Cancún or the metropolitan area. **We Offer** * Base salary commensurate with experience + statutory benefits. * Certified technical training. * Provided work equipment and tools. * Opportunities for career growth within the security and maintenance departments. * Work environment focused on comprehensive safety.
