Engineer Quality Assurance

Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating and ensuring continuous quality improvement by managing audits, customer complaints, and the implementation of quality systems. Key Highlights: 1. Coordination of continuous improvement and PHVA cycle closure 2. Management of internal and external certification audits 3. Participation in product launches and quality methodologies RESPONSIBILITIES * Coordinates, guides, and ensures PHVA cycle closure with departments/areas involved in defect metrics: internal and external DPMO, COQ, disposition and tracking of material in quarantine area with internal and external (suppliers) processes, monitoring and improvement of First Pass Yield. * Plans, executes, and ensures closure of the internal audit program, as well as follow-up on corrective actions. * Serves as the primary contact for product certification audits such as UL, CSA, etc., to conduct corresponding product and/or quality system audits. * Acts as the first point of contact with the Customer Service Department regarding customer complaints and repairs. * Ensures that the most up-to-date version of work documents is available for use. * Participates in any investigation activities aimed at improving quality levels using methodologies such as 5 Whys, 8D, DDW, etc. COMPETENCIES * Quality tools training (8D, 5 Whys, APQP, etc). * Conversational English. * Experience participating in external ISO 9001 audits. * Knowledge of metal-mechanical industry and electricity. * APQP (FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, Flowcharts, MSA, PSW, etc). * Participation in product launches. * Problem-solving methodologies. REQUIREMENTS * 4 years of experience implementing and administering ISO 9001 quality management systems, quality control programs, or similar roles. * Minimum 4 years of experience in transformer and/or metal-mechanical industries. * 3 years of experience managing operational and technical personnel. * Minimum 3 years of experience dealing with suppliers, RMAs, and quarantine. * Advanced interpretation of engineering drawings. * Strong communication skills. * Ability to work in a team.
