**We are looking for a Monitor to join our team on the night shift** The monitor's profile focuses on surveillance, tracking, and control of transportation units or assets using global positioning systems (GPS) and monitoring platforms. **Knowledge and Skills:** * GPS platform management: Proficiency in satellite tracking software and tools. * Geographic knowledge: Familiarity with routes, roads, and relevant geographic areas. * Computer skills: Good command of Office packages (Excel, Word) and databases. * Communication skills: Both oral and written, to report incidents and coordinate with drivers and security teams. * Attention to detail: Ability to observe patterns and detect anomalies or irregular actions. * Critical thinking and decision-making: Quick analysis of risky situations and application of emergency protocols. **Desirable Competencies:** * Proactivity. * Commitment and transparency. **Main Functions** The responsibilities of the GPS monitor are grouped into three main areas: Monitoring, Incident Response, and Reporting. 1\. Fleet Monitoring and Control: * Continuous monitoring: Tracks in real time the position of all assigned units, verifying they follow established routes. * Parameter control: Monitors speed, stop times, travel durations, and improper use of units. * Safety verification: Ensures units depart following company safety requirements and protocols. * Deviation detection: Identifies any route deviations, unscheduled stops, or entry into high-risk zones. **2\. Incident and Emergency Response:** * Alerting: When detecting an anomaly or risk (speeding, panic, deviation), activates alerts and security protocols. * Emergency communication: Establishes immediate contact with unit operators and internal or public security authorities. * Support coordination: Manages dispatch of assistance or support in cases of mechanical failures, accidents, or security incidents (theft or robbery). **3\. Documentation and Reporting:** * Logbook preparation: Maintains detailed records of trips, incidents, generated alerts, and corrective actions taken. * Report generation: Prepares daily, weekly, or monthly reports on fleet performance, route compliance, and incident rates. * Data analysis: Uses GPS data to generate metrics on efficiency, route optimization, and operational risks.
