Position Summary: Define and implement an optimal inventory model, coordinate on-site security personnel, and manage the physical security of the business unit. Key Highlights: 1. Interaction with authorities and security providers. **Job Description** ------------------------- Define and implement an optimal inventory model that ensures operational continuity by balancing working capital, through proper management adapted to changing market conditions, supported by tracking indicators that facilitate decision-making to maintain healthy inventories for USA. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Coordinate on-site operational security personnel (guards) in fulfilling their duties and established procedures for performing tasks at each work station. * Monitor and supervise the validity of courses, trainings, certifications, and requirements of surveillance personnel vis-à-vis authorities and the company regarding asset security, first aid, and customer service. * Ensure follow-up on coverage of vacancies for asset security personnel by the contracted company. * Daily scheduling of security patrols, work stations, and risk zones. * Preparation of alerts and follow-up on deviations reported by security guards. * Supply required materials and items for various work stations of the contracted company (lamps, raincoats, boots, stationery, etc.), as well as cleaning and maintenance supplies for guard booths. * Track authorizations and exit passes for equipment and plant materials. * Apply the disciplinary system to security guards for detected deviations. * Receive and follow up on complaints and suggestions from the surveillance company’s service. * Implement new procedures and instructions at work stations according to the business unit’s needs. * Continuously communicate incidents related to physical security, infrastructure, and employees within the UDN. * Conduct safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions affecting the UDN. * Act as mediator between UDN managers and the private security company on matters concerning corporate asset security. * Conduct site visits and follow-up meetings in risk areas arising from thefts or damage to the business unit. * Establish institutional relationships and follow-up mechanisms with authorities to support incidents related to the business unit’s physical security. * Develop plans and procedures to anticipate future incidents. * Participate in monthly UDN performance meetings with the regional asset security team. * Monitor CCTV and alarms for immediate communication during emergencies. * Prepare risk analyses for the assigned business unit. **Position Challenges** -------------------- * Managing asset security personnel * Asset security processes * Security and health-related management **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: * Bachelor’s degree: Related to security fields Required Experience: * 3–5 years of experience in Physical or Asset Security areas Required Knowledge: * Understanding of operations, procedures, and electronic security systems. * Basic experience in internal and external investigations * Ability to conduct risk analysis for business units and environments * Planning and personnel management skills **Relationships** -------------- Internal: * HR Advisor * Regional Asset Security Manager * Industrial Safety Advisor * Operations team External: * Asset security service providers * Public security agencies **Diversity and Inclusion at CEMEX** ----------------------------------- At CEMEX, we recognize the diversity of the world in which we live and conduct business.
