**Optometrist – Mérida, Yucatán** **Job Description:** A well-established optical retail business is seeking an experienced Optometrist with hands-on customer service experience and proficiency in operating specialized equipment, responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations and ensuring patient satisfaction through professional and warm care. The position includes supervising **2 store consultants**, as well as coordinating branch activities to achieve service and sales targets. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using a **phoropter and trial frame**. * Determine the correct prescription for each patient and advise on appropriate lens types. * Assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames and ophthalmic or contact lenses. * Supervise the team of store consultants and ensure excellent customer service. * Maintain up-to-date patient and sales records. * Ensure compliance with quality and service standards. **Requirements:** * **Proven prior experience** as an optometrist (minimum 1 year). * Proficiency in using a **phoropter** and **trial frame**. * Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities. * Service-oriented attitude and sense of responsibility. * Prior experience supervising staff is desirable. **We Offer:** * **Net monthly salary:** $11,000 MXN base salary \+ commissions * **Commissions** based on branch collections (approx. 2–3 % of $250,000 monthly). * **Statutory benefits.** * **Working hours:** Monday to Sunday, 11:00 am to 8:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch break.
