Logistics Coordinator Main Responsibilities: Planning and Strategy * Design the logistics strategy to ensure coverage and efficiency of distribution routes. * Analyze logistics indicators and propose improvement actions to optimize time, costs, and service. * Prepare operational and vehicle maintenance budgets. * Coordinate demand planning with sales and purchasing to anticipate transportation needs. * Evaluate trends in the logistics market and propose technological or process innovations. Operational Management * Supervise daily transportation operations, delivery and return control. * Validate vehicle departure and arrival logs. * Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of vehicles and refrigerated units is completed. * Control product traceability from warehouse to point of delivery. * Review and approve fuel reports, incident reports, and returns. Warehouse and Supply Control * Supervise compliance with inventory schedules. * Review and verify product placement, storage conditions, and shrinkage control. * Coordinate unscheduled inventory counts when discrepancies are detected. * Monitor temperature and storage conditions in refrigerated chambers. Interdepartmental Coordination * Coordinate product pickups or returns with Purchasing from suppliers. * Validate communication and feedback with Customer Service and Sales regarding delivery issues. * Review payments, budgets, and invoicing with Treasury and Accounts Payable. Personnel Management and Leadership * Supervise logistics and warehouse teams (coordinators, drivers, assistants). * Conduct performance evaluations and provide periodic feedback. * Promote a culture of safety, organization, and operational efficiency. * Encourage continuous training for operational staff. Metrics and Reporting * Prepare and deliver executive logistics performance reports (OTIF, efficiency, costs). * Present results and progress updates to senior management. * Monitor compliance with logistics KPIs and improvement plans. Compliance and Safety * Supervise that vehicles are properly labeled and comply with traffic regulations. * Certify proper collection and disposal of waste and materials. * Verify compliance with safety, hygiene, and good practice standards. Requirements: \- 3+ years of experience in similar roles \- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering (master's degree in logistics desirable) \- Availability to travel * Inventory management and load planning. * Picking processes and warehouse control. * Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 14000, 18000, 22000, and HACCP standards. * Supplier evaluation and logistics cost control. * Implementation of continuous improvement actions.
