**Purpose** Manage and implement methods, procedures, and best practices aligned with the corporation for developing specialized engineering projects—such as Power Max (RAS, PMS, Microgrids), studies, and MotorMax—in accordance with methods, procedures, and best practices for the application and design of integrated systems and automation. Stay highly up-to-date with cutting-edge technologies, equipment, methods, and communication protocols, based on work instructions, templates, procedures, design guidelines, and objectives set by the Engineering Services Management, to deliver integrated system designs on time, within budget, and meeting required quality standards. **Functions and Responsibilities** * Develop specialized engineering project designs—including Power Max across its three product lines: PMS, RAS, and Microgrids—ensuring timely delivery to customers, adherence to budget, and compliance with required quality standards. * Conduct transient dynamics and stability studies using software such as PSSe, DigSilent, or similar tools. * Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing using real-time simulators such as RTDS, OPAL, etc. Possess in-depth knowledge of power electrical systems for designing, developing, and implementing corrective action schemes and/or Microgrids. * Review and validate project information and budgets to agree upon execution margins and proceed with their release. * Manage and implement methods, procedures, work instructions, design guidelines, and best practices for specialized engineering project design—forming the foundation for standardized development of SPS studies and projects. * Coordinate and design new system developments carried out by I+D and ES Pullman to ensure their proper integration into the specialized engineering process. * Test new technologies and solution concepts aligned with corporate Engineering Services to ensure new equipment applications are implemented uniformly and standardly by Engineering Services Management. * Participate in customer commissioning and/or training upon request, delivering comprehensive services to guarantee operation of specialized engineering systems—such as Power Max—and technically prepare customers for system operation and maintenance. * Coordinate technology development and innovation projects with the corporation to achieve integrated system designs and propose technological and economic alternatives to customers, promoting participation in markets beyond the electric power sector. * Propose and implement improvements to specialized engineering project development processes to optimize development time and system quality. * Produce SEL technical literature—including design guides, application notes, and international technical articles—to promote and disseminate specialized engineering solutions globally. * Live and act according to SEL’s core values in daily activities. * Ensure, jointly with project management, achievement or improvement of gross margin (GM) for assigned projects. * Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality within the department, ensuring compliance with the quality policy: Identify, Measure, Improve. **Requirements (Education/Experience/Training/Skills/Competencies)** * Strong knowledge of power electrical systems and protection. * Basic knowledge of control and automation. * Experience in transient dynamics and stability studies (desirable). * Availability for field service related to schemes designed by SPS. * Knowledge of protective relays and test equipment. * Proficiency in power electrical system analysis software. * Intermediate or advanced level of English.
