**At Seatix**, we believe music and live entertainment connect people in unique and powerful ways. That’s why we’re transforming how events are organized, sold, and experienced across LATAM. Our goal is to redefine the ticket purchasing and validation experience—making it faster, safer, and more reliable for thousands of attendees and organizers. Seatix is a platform that not only optimizes sales but also empowers promoters and venues to manage their events efficiently. We’re a small team of fewer than 10 people building technology for an industry that moves millions. We want to stay that way: a compact team solving big problems. **About the Team** The Backend team builds the infrastructure behind every ticket sold—from the APIs powering the frontend to the high-performance microservices processing payments and validating access in real time. When an artist announces tour dates and thousands of people try to buy tickets simultaneously, our code determines whether the experience is smooth or frustrating. We also build internal tools enabling operations and promoters to manage events without depending on engineering for every change. Our primary stack is **Laravel + PostgreSQL**, with high-performance microservices written in **Go (Fiber)** for critical operations. Everything runs in containers on **DigitalOcean**. **We’re looking for someone who:** * Has at least **3 years of backend development experience** with PHP 8+ and Laravel. * Can design and consume **RESTful APIs** with OAuth 2.0/JWT authentication. * Has solid experience with **PostgreSQL**: complex queries, indexing, performance optimization. * Is proficient in **Docker** (multi-stage Dockerfiles, docker-compose) and container concepts. * Understands **cloud concepts** (DigitalOcean, AWS, or GCP) and basic CI/CD (GitHub Actions). * Is open to using **AI tools** (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to solve problems, learn new technologies, or accelerate work. * Can **deliver complete features**, not just endpoints. If your API is ready but not yet integrated into the frontend, you’ll use AI assistance to complete the integration rather than wait for others. * Can write **automated tests**, including unit and integration tests. * Can **communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing**. You’ll document technical decisions, write specifications, and collaborate with non-technical teams (operations, promoters, venues). **Bonus points if you:** * Have experience with **Go** (Fiber, Echo, Gin), or enthusiasm to learn it—we use it in high-performance microservices. * Have worked with **real-time systems**: WebSockets, Redis Streams, pub/sub. * Know **Redis/Valkey** for caching, sessions, and queues. * Have experience with **microservice architectures** and inter-service communication. * Are familiar with patterns like **DDD, Actions, DTOs, or State Machines**. * Have used the **advanced Laravel ecosystem**: Spatie packages, queue workers. * Have worked on **high-concurrency systems**: ticketing, reservations, e-commerce with traffic spikes. * Know **Angular 17+**, **React**, or modern frontend frameworks. * Have worked in **Agile/Scrum environments**, especially within small teams delivering direct impact. **What matters most to us:** * You understand that when an artist announces tour dates, **your code supports the experience of thousands of fans** trying to buy tickets simultaneously. * You can **own a feature end-to-end**, seeking help where you’re not an expert. We don’t expect unicorns—but we do expect ownership. * You can **evaluate trade-offs** between solutions, balancing technical considerations with user experience. * You can manage a reasonable level of **technical debt**, knowing when to pay it down and when to move forward. * You know how to **work well in a team**. In complex projects, collaboration consistently outperforms lone stars. **What you can expect:** * Joining a small, dynamic, and ambitious team where your work will have **immediate impact on real-world events**. * Participating in **architecture decisions** and the platform’s technical evolution. * Working with a modern stack: Laravel 12, Go + Fiber, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, DigitalOcean. * A learning-oriented environment offering space to experiment, make mistakes, and improve. * Exciting technical challenges in a creative and growing industry. Employment type: Full-time Benefits: * Gym membership discount * Company parking * Free parking * On-site cafeteria * Discounted cafeteria service * Free uniforms Experience: * Backend Development: 3 years (Required) Work location: On-site
