Collaborative work environment Budget Officer for Construction Projects Work Mode: On-site Working Hours: Monday to Friday Availability: Willingness to travel when required by the project ________________________________________ Job Objective Develop and control construction budgets to ensure accurate planning of materials and labor, guaranteeing continuity of construction projects as well as timely response to budget changes arising from adjustments to the execution project. ________________________________________ Main Responsibilities • Prepare construction budgets through accurate quantification of materials and labor, based on execution drawings and work volumes. • Respond to requests for budget change control due to project adjustments or improvements. • Support identified site needs to ensure continuity of the construction process. • Analyze and address labor-related extras and addenda resulting from site incidents. • Reconcile unit prices when deviations occur between base and quoted prices. • Document budgets, changes, and supporting records in cost control repositories. • Update databases, catalogs, and control mechanisms to ensure traceability and sound decision-making. • Maintain up-to-date construction generation templates and catalogs of items and prices. • Administer and update unit prices in tools such as OPUS and Construnet. • Provide information for continuous improvement initiatives within the department. ________________________________________ Performance Indicators • Monthly achievement of targets for expansions and renovations. • Projected budget vs. actual investment. • Compliance with construction cost per square meter parameter. ________________________________________ Relationships with Key Departments Frequent interaction with: • Project Leaders • Administration and Site Residents • Procurement (labor and materials) • Internal cost and control departments ________________________________________ Required Profile Education • Civil Engineering • Architecture • Electrical Engineering • Mechatronics or Electromechanical Engineering Experience • 2 years of experience in budget administration, work quantification, or construction cost control. • Experience as a Site Resident in medium- or large-scale projects (desirable). • Previous experience in planning, budgeting, or contractor payments. Technical Knowledge • Interpretation of drawings and construction generation documents. • Unit pricing and cost analysis. • Budget integration. • Quantification of construction volumes. • Cost control and budget monitoring.
