Join a leading organization in the Oil & Gas sector that drives innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement in its operations. We are seeking an expert in operational excellence and industrial safety management, committed to optimizing processes, strengthening a safety culture, and ensuring regulatory compliance in complex and dynamic environments. If you possess strategic vision and passion for organizational performance improvement, your talent is key to our sustainable growth! **Responsibilities** --------------------- * Design, implement, and maintain Operational Excellence and HSE policies, standards, and practices for Bacab Lum, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines and operator requirements. * Lead the SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) strategy across drilling, completion, well intervention, production, and infrastructure, ensuring clear interfaces, responsibility matrices, and integrated risk management. * Design, implement, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives focused on: increasing efficiency in production and well operations; reducing waste, rework, and downtime; and improving operational performance and asset reliability. * Define and implement processes, procedures, and controls to ensure operations are: efficient and standardized; safe and compliant with HSE requirements; traceable and auditable. * Establish and ensure systematic application of Risk Management tools (HARC, MoC, and other change analysis and control tools) across drilling, production, and infrastructure activities. * Develop and implement a work plan to ensure understanding and empowerment of Stop Work Authority, enabling any team member to halt operations upon identifying Quality and/or HSE risks. * Define, track, and report Operational Excellence and HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), focused on: production infrastructure and facilities; drilling, completion, and well intervention; operation and maintenance of critical production systems. * Establish controls and monitoring mechanisms to prevent and reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT and NPI), including: systematic event logging; root cause analysis and investigations (ICR); definition and tracking of corrective actions to prevent recurrence. * Serve as a cross-functional support function for Infrastructure, Production, Engineering, and Operations areas, facilitating coordination and alignment on Operational Excellence and HSE matters. * Ensure effective interaction with supporting functions—HR, Supply Chain/Procurement (SCS), Finance, Logistics, and other corporate departments—to guarantee that processes and decisions support Operational Excellence and HSE objectives. * Design and execute Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) strategies for EMS (Equipment, Materials, and Services), including technical, performance, safety, and operational reliability criteria. * Define and oversee the competency strategy for personnel executing project activities, ensuring: relevant experience in drilling, production, and SIMOPS operations; technical knowledge aligned with project standards; and soft skills supporting safety culture, teamwork, and continuous improvement. * Lead and propose continuous improvement initiatives across all project phases (infrastructure, production, drilling, completion, and well intervention), driving operational innovation and lessons learned capture. * Establish and maintain proactive reporting mechanisms for Quality and HSE risks (observations, near misses, deviations), ensuring their analysis, prioritization, and closure of associated actions. + Consolidate and maintain statistical controls and Operational Excellence and HSE dashboards enabling: trend analysis; identification of improvement opportunities; and data-driven decision support. * Establish and conduct periodic (monthly) meetings with vendors and service companies, focused on: Operational Excellence and HSE performance results; improvement plans and specific commitments; and review of incidents, deviations, and best practices. * Participate, together with SC, in vendor and service company selection and evaluation, incorporating criteria such as: compliance with Quality and HSE standards; performance history in similar operations; and technical response capability and support. * Develop and maintain a performance-based ranking of EMS and service companies (by operational performance, quality, and HSE) to serve as a reference for optimal vendor selection and assignment in project activities. ### **Required Profile** **Academic background**: Petroleum Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. **Additional studies**: Diploma or certification in Operational Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, Production Management, Quality Management, or HSE instructor-level training. **Work experience:** * Minimum 20 years in the oil and gas industry. * At least 10 years leading Operational Excellence and HSE initiatives. * Proven offshore field experience. * Field experience (engineer, specialist, coordinator) — national and international. * Administrative experience in Operational Excellence and HSE roles — national and international. **Technical knowledge:** * Well production, artificial lift, nodal analysis, operational efficiency, predictive and preventive maintenance. * Knowledge of drilling and completion operations. * Performance indicator management and process control. * Knowledge of SSPA regulations – Pemex.
