Job Responsibilities * **Assessment and baseline**: Collect field/packing facility information (interviews, site visits, document review) and map labor/social risks by site and season. * **Design and implementation** of policies and procedures: Code of Conduct, Non-discrimination, Prevention of child/forced labor, Freedom of association, Working hours and wages, Ethics and anti-corruption, Grievance channel, Worker housing, Transportation, PPE. * **Audit preparation** (second/third party): SMETA (2/4 pillars), Fair Trade (USA / International). Includes: checklists, document sampling, mock interviews and audit-style walkthroughs. * **Document management**: Validate formats, files, and evidence (contracts, IMSS registrations, receipts, payrolls, DC\-3 forms, attendance lists, committee minutes, H\&S logs, training records). * **Action plans (CAP)**: Prioritize non-conformities, assign responsibilities/due dates, track progress, and verify closure with evidence. * **Training**: Design and deliver courses/workshops on codes of conduct, labor rights, prevention of harassment/violence, PPE usage, ergonomics, psychosocial risks, ethics and anti-corruption. * **Supplier due diligence**: Administer SAQ/surveys, assess risks (child/forced labor, subcontracting, wages and H\&S), define contractual requirements and improvement actions. * **Field monitoring** (harvest/packing): Housing, sanitary conditions, water, restrooms, dining areas, transportation, working hours and breaks, presence of minors, migrants, timely payment, timekeeping records, etc. * **Formal audit support**: Coordinate schedules, war rooms, respond to findings, and manage post-audit activities. * **Grievance channel**: Implementation, promotion, case logging, triage, investigation, and resolution with corrective actions. * **Reporting and analytics**: Update compliance dashboards/indicators (by site/client/season) and issue executive reports. * **Internal coordination**: Collaborate with Operations, HR, Safety and Hygiene, Legal, and Procurement; align with clients/retailers. Regulatory Knowledge **International / Frameworks:** * **SMETA** (2/4 pillars: Labor, H\&S, Environment, Ethics) \+ **Sedex SAQ**, audit methodology and CAP closure. * **Fair Trade** (Fair Trade USA / Fairtrade International): Requirements for hired labor and/or small producers (committee, premium, freedom of association, wages, working conditions). **Mexico (labor and H\&S):** * **LFT** (Federal Labor Law): working hours, rest periods, overtime, wages and benefits, adolescents (Chapter V Bis). * **LSS/IMSS, INFONAVIT, SAR**: registrations, contributions, compliance verification. * **Applicable STPS NOMs** (based on risk/activity).
