As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting our kitchen staff in preparing and cooking delicious, high-quality dishes for our customers. You will work closely with our chefs and other team members to ensure our kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently. **Key Responsibilities:** \- Assist in preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef. \- Ensure all food is prepared and presented timely and consistently. \- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including washing and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces. \- Follow all safety and hygiene procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. \- Monitor food inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the head chef. \- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper product rotation. \- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service. \- Follow instructions from the head chef and other team members to continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge. \- Comply with company policies and procedures at all times. **Requirements:** \- High school diploma or equivalent. \- Prior experience as a kitchen assistant or in a similar role is preferred. \- Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques. \- Ability to work in a dynamic, high-volume kitchen environment. \- Strong communication and teamwork skills. \- Excellent time management and organizational skills. \- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. \- Valid food handler’s certificate required. **Contract Details:** This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
