Position Summary: We are seeking a Mainframe COBOL Developer with experience in analysis, development, and support of applications, process optimization, and incident resolution in critical environments. Key Highlights: 1. Development and maintenance of COBOL applications in mainframe environments. 2. Requirements analysis and optimization of batch and online processes. 3. Capital Empresarial Horizonte, a Mexican company specializing in Human Resources and Information Technologies, is looking for: Mainframe COBOL Developer Conversational English required To work in Toluca (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) *Free transportation from El Ángel de la Independencia (round trip) Hybrid scheme · Requirements Experience developing COBOL applications in mainframe environments. Knowledge of JCL and management of batch processes. Experience with mainframe databases (DB2 or others). Knowledge of transactional systems (CICS is a plus). Analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in critical production environments. Desirable Knowledge Experience in legacy system migration or modernization. Knowledge of integration with modern technologies (APIs, services). Experience in sectors such as banking, insurance, or government. · Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and provide support for applications in mainframe environments using COBOL. Analyze functional and technical requirements to implement efficient solutions. Perform corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance on existing systems. Manage and optimize batch and online processes in production environments. Identify and resolve production incidents, ensuring operational continuity. Collaborate with business, QA, and infrastructure teams for solution delivery. Document developments, processes, and changes made to systems.
