**Date:** May 22, 2026 **Location:** Mexico City, Mexico **Company:** deloittemx **What does a typical day in this role look like?** As an ALGOL Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting systems developed in ALGOL, ensuring their correct operation and stability. A key part of your role will be analyzing and optimizing existing code to improve performance, as well as clearly documenting processes, functions, and the logic of legacy programs. You will also participate in modernization and migration initiatives toward more current technologies, perform debugging, and resolve incidents in production environments. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams—including architecture, infrastructure, and business units—ensuring data integrity and consistency across legacy systems. You will work in a dynamic and enriching environment alongside people from diverse cultures, perspectives, specialties, and knowledge backgrounds. We are motivated by making a meaningful impact in everything we do. **What qualifications are required?** * Bachelor’s degree or engineering degree * Minimum 4 years of verifiable experience in ALGOL development, legacy code analysis, and debugging. * Knowledge: structured programming, traditional operating systems / mainframe (desirable), relational databases, version control tools (Git or others), technical documentation, and legacy code analysis. * Technical English * Technology tools: basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases. * Skills: analytical ability, effective communication, organization, adaptability, results orientation, high quality standards, negotiation, problem-solving, and passion for technology **Why Deloitte?** Through our work, we create significant impact—making a positive difference for our clients, society, and the planet.
