**Skala People Strategy is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City** ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At Skala, we are supporting a regional fintech company in identifying a key profile for its technology team. They are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Mexico) to join the team and report directly to the local engineering leadership. The core purpose of this role is to ensure operational stability, deployment reliability, and platform observability in Mexico, acting as the cornerstone of operational continuity for the business. Key Responsibilities This role offers high technical autonomy, with a strong focus on operations and execution, and includes the following key responsibilities: * Operate and maintain reliable, traceable CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps * Execute secure, scalable production deployments with controlled rollback capability * Administer and operate Kubernetes as the central infrastructure component * Work with containers (Docker) as part of the deployment workflow * Manage observability and alerting using Datadog (monitoring, logs, alerts) * Implement endpoint-based monitoring, downtime alerts, error monitors, and overall platform health monitoring * Implement GitOps workflows using Git and ArgoCD * Respond to production incidents and lead post-mortem analyses * Propose evidence-based technical improvements (metrics, incidents, performance) * Operate infrastructure on Azure and IFX Requirements Education and Experience * Required experience: 5+ years as a DevOps engineer * Proven experience operating Kubernetes in production * Proficiency in CI/CD using Azure DevOps * Demonstrable experience with Datadog and real-world monitoring (not just familiarity) * Experience with Git / GitOps / ArgoCD * Ability to troubleshoot effectively under pressure Technical Competencies * Kubernetes (core), Azure DevOps (YAML), Docker, Datadog (monitoring/logs/alerts), Git + GitOps + ArgoCD, Azure & IFX * Preferred: experience in fintech/banking Key Skills and Competencies (Soft Skills) * Autonomy, ownership, and governance of tasks (in a fast-paced and dynamic environment) * Flexible working hours and execution-oriented mindset Success Metrics * Reduction in production incidents * Increased deployment reliability and speed * Actionable alerts and reduced operational noise * Continuous improvement grounded in metrics Conditions * Location: CDMX (corporate zone) * Work mode: Hybrid * Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM * Salary range (gross monthly): up to $45000 to $50000 MXN. * Benefits: 15 vacation days, extended maternity/paternity leave, * 50% vacation bonus, 30-day Christmas bonus, major medical expense insurance, and life insurance. **Desired education level:** Bachelor’s degree or higher — completed **Desired experience level:** Expert level **Departmental function:** Technology / Internet **Industry:** Financial Services *This vacancy originates from the Talenteca.com job board:* *https://www.talenteca.com/anuncio?j_id=696a7abe7b00003d005e0252&source=indeed*
