Job Summary: We are seeking an Android Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain applications using Kotlin and/or Java, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and write scalable code. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices Capital Empresarial Horizonte, a Mexican company specializing in Human Resources and Information Technologies, is looking for: Android Application Developer **Conversational English required** **Hybrid work model in Guadalajara or CDMX** **Required Skills** * Proficiency in Android SDK, Kotlin, and Java * Knowledge of UI/UX principles and Material Design * Experience with MVVM/MVP architectures * Experience consuming REST APIs, JSON, Retrofit, and OkHttp * Familiarity with Android Jetpack (LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation) * Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines * Strong debugging and optimization skills **Responsibilities** * Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java * Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams * Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices * Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries * Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness * Debug, diagnose, and resolve technical issues * Implement unit and UI tests * Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions * Stay up-to-date with Android trends, tools, and technologies **Desirable** * Experience with Jetpack Compose * Knowledge of Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics, Push Notifications) * Agile/Scrum methodologies * Mobile security best practices * Testing frameworks: JUnit, Espresso **We Offer:** * Office working hours * 100% payroll-based employment * Salary open to negotiation based on experience * Statutory benefits * Enhanced benefits (family SGMM, SV coverage of 1 million MXN, grocery vouchers, 30-day bonus, PTU)
