A leading company in the flour industry for baking is currently seeking:
**Customs Entry Clerk**
**Position Objective**
Ensure accurate registration, data entry, and validation of information related to **Value Declarations** and international trade documents across our various business units; you will be a key contributor to ensuring regulatory compliance and data reliability in customs processes.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, Commercial Relations, or Customs.
* **Experience:** 1–2 years as a data entry clerk at a customs brokerage firm or private company in international trade.
* **Essential technical knowledge:**
* Mexican Customs Law (focused on valuation).
* Proficiency in **VUCEM** and COVE.
* Knowledge of **Annex 22** and customs entry forms (pedimentos).
* Basic understanding of Incoterms and tariff classification (TIGIE).
* Customs data entry systems (CASA, RECO, SAII, etc.).
* Advanced Excel and ERP systems.
**Responsibilities:**
* **Preparation and data entry:** Prepare Value Declarations by reviewing and accurately recording the commercial value of goods.
* **Document verification:** Cross-check invoices, *packing lists*, contracts, and supporting documents to ensure data consistency.
* **Regulatory compliance:** Identify inconsistencies that could lead to penalties or delays, ensuring adherence to current legal frameworks.
* **File management:** Create and maintain digital and physical files for import/export operations.
* **Operations management:** Track validation status, data entry progress, and communicate directly with buyers, customs brokers, and logistics personnel.
* **Auditing:** Respond to audit requests and correct errors identified during customs reviews.
