Community Promoter in Oaxaca.
**Location:** San Pedro Huilotepec, San Blas Atempa, Ixtepec, Tehuantepec, Juchitán, Oaxaca**.**
**Schedule:** From 09:00 to 18:00 hr.
**Education:** Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, Social Work, Sociology.
**Type of employment:** Salaried position.
**Language: Advanced Zapotec.**
**Position objective:**
Implement the intervention proposal with participating children, adolescents, youth; mothers, fathers, caregivers, and teachers; promoting the strengthening of capacities and skills, well-being, and learning of individuals according to the local context. Develop a community participation strategy for capacity transfer through coordination with various stakeholders in the areas where intervention sites are located (local authorities, representatives of organizations, educational institutions, community representatives, parents, mothers, children, adolescents, youth).
**Experience:**
* Minimum two years of experience in developing and implementing community mobilization strategies and working with organized groups of children, adolescents, youth; and mothers, fathers, caregivers, and teachers.
* Minimum one year of experience conducting participatory workshops.
* Minimum one year of field or community work experience.
* Experience working with social groups of different ages.
**Functions:**
Build community capacities through training strategies, supervision, identification of improvement areas, and generation of solutions.
Ability to convene and promote processes of sensitization, mobilization, and organization of communities around planning, management, and monitoring of community development.
Promote collaborative and constructive teamwork.
Participate in project development in a critical, analytical, and ethical manner.
Develop leadership, concreteness, and convening capacity in the execution of assigned projects.
Support communities in fieldwork by identifying opportunities and generating solutions.
Carry out work responsibly regarding social issues, respecting the characteristics of communities and intervention settings.
Generate strategic and situational alliances during fieldwork.
Monitor, follow up, and report results of activities carried out.
Disseminate Save the Children Mexico's projects within communities, schools, and organized groups where influence exists.
Be responsible for the proper use of materials and equipment provided for carrying out activities.
Disseminate Save the Children’s Child Safety and Protection Policy within communities, schools, businesses, government, and any other entity where the Organization implements its projects, ensuring it is respected and properly implemented.
Comply with institutional guidelines.
**Activities:**
* Schedule activities and prepare timelines through coordination with staff from other local and national office areas.
* Conduct workshops based on established descriptive guides and develop activities aimed at building competencies and developing skills.
* Prepare work materials for activity implementation.
* Develop and produce content for activity implementation.
* Design activity proposals based on identified needs observed and/or heard in intervention spaces.
* Translate content into Zapotec.
* Collect information (databases).
* Commit to carrying out work responsibly regarding social problems.
* Manage workspaces within communities (schools, community centers, public spaces, among others).
* Coordinate with local authorities, community leaders, and public and private institutions for the implementation and development of activities.
* Prepare official letters and forms for coordination with key actors.
* Be responsible for the proper use of materials and equipment provided for carrying out activities.
* Assist in applying diagnostic tools, as well as collecting and systematizing information.
* Prepare reports of findings and results according to Monitoring, Evaluation, and Accountability mechanisms.
* Identify project learnings, risks, and opportunities.
* Actively participate in cross-cutting actions within community and educational spaces.
* Identify key actors within the school and social community.
**Skills:**
Fluent Zapotec speaker.
Proficiency in written Zapotec for content translation.
