The current setup involves manual SSH operations and content synchronization, and we’re seeking a scalable, reliable, and cost\-efficient deployment pipeline. This is a **high\-impact, technical role** where your contributions will directly streamline delivery cycles and reduce operational overhead. **Job details:** * **Location**: 100% Remote – Temporary Contract (Approx. 3 Months) with Potential for Extension * **Open:** for candidates based in Central America, Mexico, or Colombia. * **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CR Time Zone * **Job Type:** Temporary Contract * **Language Proficiency**: Spanish: C2 / English: B2\+ reading, writing, and conversation * **Availability**: Immediate availability preferred. **Key Responsibilities \& Duties:** **Primary Objectives** * Design and implement a **fully automated CI/CD pipeline** for a WordPress \+ Elementor stack. **Technical Tasks** * Assess the current semi\-manual pipeline and evolve it into a **complete CI/CD workflow**. * Automate the deployment of **code, plugins, database changes, and configuration files**. * Implement infrastructure provisioning using **Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar** tools. * Establish version\-controlled deployment scripts integrated with **GitHub Actions**, **GitLab CI**, or **Jenkins**. * Set up **rollback strategies, monitoring systems, and alerting**. * Provide documentation for infrastructure architecture and deployment logic. * Analyze performance metrics and AWS billing data to propose infrastructure optimizations. * Eliminate **manual SSH access and manual content replication** through infrastructure automation. * Evaluate and right\-size existing **AWS EC2 instances** for performance and cost efficiency. * Standardize deployment procedures across **development, staging, and production** environments. **Academic Background:** * Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology**, or a related technical field. * Equivalent practical experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or system administration will also be considered. **Required Skills \& Experience:** * **5\+ years** of professional experience in **DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering**, or **Cloud Operations**, with a strong focus on automation, system reliability, and deployment pipelines. * EC2 instance provisioning, performance tuning, and right\-sizing * Load balancing, auto\-scaling, and **cost optimization strategies** using tools like AWS Cost Explorer or Trusted Advisor * Database synchronization techniques across staging and production * Media management, caching layers, and plugin/theme update strategies * WordPress file structure, configuration hierarchy, and operational best practices * Hands\-on experience designing and maintaining **CI/CD pipelines** using tools like **GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins**, or Bitbucket Pipelines. * Proficiency in **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** with **Terraform**, **CloudFormation**, or equivalent tools for provisioning and configuration management. * Strong skills in **Linux/Unix server administration**, including **SSH access control**, system hardening, and resource monitoring. * Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts in **Bash**, **Python**, or similar scripting languages. * Full fluency with **Git version control**, GitOps workflows, branching strategies, and pull request processes. * Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
