We are looking for a Data Engineer to structure and optimize our analytical infrastructure, ensuring data is accessible and understandable across the entire organization.

3. Be the technical hero for the Business Intelligence team.
At Ben \& Frank, we don’t like making decisions blindly. That’s why we’re seeking our next **Data Engineer** to bring order, structure, and serious flair to our analytical infrastructure.
Your mission won’t just be moving data from one place to another—it’ll be ensuring seamless flow into our *data warehouse* on Redshift, setting up alerts so nothing breaks silently, and building the ultimate self-service oasis.
If you master the art of making data speak—and making business users understand it—keep reading ...
**What You’ll Do:**
* Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Python, orchestrated with the precision of Prefect or Airflow.
* Implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems. If data quality, freshness, or volume falters, you’ll know before anyone else.
* Dive into Redshift to debug, refactor, and optimize complex logic—so everything runs fast and we avoid AWS bills that make us cry.
* Serve as the technical hero for the Business Intelligence team—answering their existential questions about the data model and ensuring their *datasets* are ready and delivered on time.
* Help build tools and abstraction layers so non-technical users can query validated data without hand-holding. Freedom for everyone!
**What You Need:**
* Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
* Proven experience with Prefect (v2/v3\) or closely related orchestration platforms such as Airflow or Dagster.
* Solid hands-on experience with AWS, specifically S3 and Redshift
* Git, CI/CD, and unit testing applied to data engineering. No “it works on my machine” excuses.
* Familiarity with data quality tools such as Great Expectations, Soda, or dbt tests.
* Ability to explain complex code concepts to business stakeholders without putting them to sleep.
* An ultra-rigorous approach to root-cause analysis.
* Obsession with generating value from data—not just moving it.
**Bonus Points:**
* If you’ve survived migrations to modern architectures (e.g., dbt).
* If you’re fluent in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / CloudFormation).
* If you’ve implemented data catalogs to make information easy to find.
**We Offer:**
* Base Salary / 100% gross nominal pay
* Major Medical Expense Insurance
* Savings Fund
* Christmas Bonus
* Grocery Vouchers
* Discount Agreements
