At Stefanini, we are more than 30,000 geniuses, connected from 41 countries, doing what we love and co-creating a better future. **Responsibilities and Authorities** ### **Essential Functions and Responsibilities:** * Minimum **6–8 years of experience** in Big Data development. * Demonstrated up-to-date experience in **Data Engineering** and development of **complex data pipelines**. * Experience with **agile methodologies**. * Design, develop, implement, and optimize large-scale distributed systems and pipelines processing massive volumes of data, with emphasis on **scalability, low latency, and fault tolerance**. * Required proficiency in **Java and Python** for writing data pipelines and processing layers. * Experience with **Airflow and GitHub**. * **Conversational English** (required). * Experience creating **MapReduce jobs**. * Experience writing **complex, highly optimized queries** over large datasets. * **Advanced SQL proficiency** (required). * Experience with cloud technologies (**GCP, Azure**). * Support implementation and operation of data pipelines and analytical solutions. * Experience in **performance optimization** of systems handling large data volumes. * Experience delivering data services via **REST APIs** (data consumption). * Experience in **Retail, Finance, Financial Services, or Fintech** is a strong plus. * Practical experience with **ETL tools**, such as **Dataiku**, for data preparation, transformation, and pipeline orchestration. **Requirements and Qualifications** ### **Big Data Engineer** * As part of the **Data Engineering** team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating large-scale data systems operating at petabyte scale.
