Education: Architecture / Civil Engineering **(with extensive experience in developing public-sector construction projects, ROADS, BRIDGES, UNDERPASSES AND GRADE-SEPARATED INTERCHANGES)** Languages: Spanish / English 50%
Experience: 4 years of verifiable experience in building construction, contractor coordination, knowledge of unit price and budget formulation, preparation of quantity take-offs, preparation of estimates and work breakdowns, coordinating, controlling and monitoring the construction schedule, managing and overseeing the supply of materials, equipment and necessary personnel, executive progress reports, general knowledge of installations (electrical, voice and data, plumbing and sanitation).
The superintendent must have thorough knowledge of the assigned project’s configuration, identify deficiencies, be familiar with quality standards and construction specifications, understand the catalog of work items or activities for construction or services, and verify alignment between the project documents and such catalog accurately; propose execution schedules, critical path and material supply schedules; supervise the preparation of as-built drawings, general and specific construction specifications and quality standards; manage the construction logbook, agreements and all other documents generated during project execution. Proper administration of labor, material, indirect and other resources is required, achieved through accurate tracking of the overall schedule, monitoring of estimates, reporting of actual and verifiable progress, review of purchase requisitions against the scheduled plan, experience in decision-making to release work areas—ensuring predecessor activities have been fully completed and meet sufficient quality standards—endorsed via checklists and quality controls.
