General Accountant

We are seeking a General Accountant with extensive experience in tax, accounting, and administrative matters. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting operations and tax compliance for the company, as well as supervising and guiding another accountant within the department. We require a professional with strong judgment, leadership, organizational skills, and continuous updating on Mexican regulatory requirements. **Key Responsibilities** * Prepare, review, and file monthly, annual, and supplementary tax returns. * Supervise and validate the work of the accountant reporting to them, ensuring accuracy and compliance. * Prepare financial statements, bank reconciliations, cash flow reports, and financial analyses. * Maintain up-to-date general ledger records and ensure data integrity. * Ensure compliance with SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, STPS, and other regulatory authorities. * Administer and supervise payroll processing, payroll incidents, disbursement, and payroll CFDIs. * Manage internal and external audits, including information gathering and responding to audit requests. * Implement, monitor, and improve internal controls and accounting policies. * Coordinate import/export matters, customs entries (pedimentos), and customs regulations where applicable. * Review and validate bank statements, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. * Provide strategic support to management on tax matters, budgeting, and financial forecasting. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (mandatory). * Minimum 5–7 years of experience in general and tax accounting. * Proven experience leading or supervising accounting personnel. * Proficiency in CONTPAQi Accounting, Payroll, and Billing modules. * In-depth knowledge of Income Tax (ISR), VAT (IVA), Special Tax on Production and Services (IEPS), Federal Tax Code (CFF), and obligations before IMSS and INFONAVIT. * Experience calculating taxes, determining provisional and annual tax payments. * Ability to interpret financial, tax, and SAT guidelines and regulations. * Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills. * High level of organization, professional judgment, confidentiality, and decision-making ability. * Relevant Knowledge and Updates in Mexico * Electronic invoicing (CFDI 4.0) and its rules. * Payroll CFDIs and new validation requirements. * Recent amendments to the Federal Tax Code. * Experience with electronic accounting and XML submissions / SAT accounting requirements. * Knowledge of SIROC and REPSE registration, tracking, and reporting. * Familiarity with customs regulations, customs entries (pedimentos), and foreign trade. * Management of the tax mailbox, electronic requests, and electronic reviews. **What We Offer** * Competitive salary commensurate with experience and responsibilities. * Opportunities for professional growth and continuous training. * A stable, professional, and collaborative work environment. * Benefits exceeding statutory requirements. * Work arrangement focused on work-life balance.
