**San Siro Restaurant | La Paz, B.C.S.** **Area:** Service / Dining Room **Reports to:** Captain / Floor Manager / Operations Management **Schedule:** Rotating (according to operations) **Position Type:** Operational Position Purpose To deliver warm, professional, and efficient service, guiding guests throughout their entire experience (greeting, order taking, service, follow-up, and farewell), ensuring timeliness, quality, station cleanliness, and adherence to San Siro standards. Key Responsibilities * **Guest Service** * Greet and serve tables with hospitality, appropriate language use, and a professional appearance. * Present the menu, answer questions, and make food and beverage recommendations. * Identify guest needs and provide timely follow-up throughout their visit. * **Order Taking and Operations** * Accurately record orders (food, beverages, modifications, timing). * Coordinate with kitchen and bar to ensure correct and timely order fulfillment. * Confirm allergies/dietary restrictions when indicated by the guest and communicate them correctly to the kitchen. * **Food and Beverage Service** * Serve food and beverages following sequence and standards (temperature, plating, cleanliness). * Basic tray handling and safe service of china/glassware. * Essential knowledge of wines and beverages to suggest pairings (desirable). * **English-Language Guest Service** * Communicate clearly in **intermediate English**: greeting, explaining dishes/beverages, taking orders, follow-up, and closing. * Resolve basic inquiries and escalate special requests to the captain/floor manager as needed. * **Billing and Control** * Present the bill and process payments according to internal procedures. * Handle cash and terminals carefully; avoid errors and discrepancies. * Assist with simple shift reports when requested. * **Mise en Place, Order, and Cleanliness** * Maintain a fully stocked station: cutlery, napkins, glassware, china, and utensils. * Set up and clear tables according to standards. * Assist with opening and closing area checklists. * **Teamwork** * Coordinate with bussers, host/reception, bar, and kitchen for seamless service. * Respect the leadership of the captain/floor manager and support during peak operational periods.
