Dr. Alan Roberto Vázquez is seeking students for the PhD Program in Engineering Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey (Monterrey Campus), Mexico. Dr. Vázquez's laboratory specializes in intelligent data collection for developing data science and artificial intelligence (AI) applications. Specifically, it develops optimization methods to design and analyze cost-effective experiments that improve processes, applies data science algorithms to develop new food products, and studies the use of AI in experimental design and clinical trials. His areas of impact include health, food technology, food safety, and personalized recommendation systems. The requirements for the PhD Program in Engineering Sciences are: * Bachelor's degree with a strong foundation in Statistics, Mathematics, or Optimization. * GPA above 90 in undergraduate studies. A master's degree is not required. * Minimum score of 157 on the quantitative section and 3.5 on the analytical writing section of the GRE exam. Alternatively, achieve 585 points or higher on Tecnológico de Monterrey's admission exam (PAEP). * Score of 80 or higher on the TOEFL iBT, or an equivalent score on other exams (IELTS, DET, etc.).
