




Job Summary: Android Mobile Research and Development Engineer to generate solutions, improve processes, and develop control, administrative, and commercial tools for the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution industry. The Android Mobile Research and Development Engineer is part of an interdisciplinary team aimed at generating solutions, improving processes, and developing new control, administrative, and commercial tools tailored to meet the needs of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) distribution industry; the mobile developer focused on the Android platform requires solid expertise in native Kotlin/Java development, as well as experience confidently using tools such as Android Studio with emphasis on usability and user experience (UI/UX). The multidisciplinary nature of this role is reflected in frequent collaboration with field engineers, administrative systems development teams, cross-platform mobile development teams, hardware development teams, manufacturing teams, electronic components and devices supply chain teams, and software vendors. Primary responsibilities and scope of work involve researching and integrating industrial and commercial technologies into existing mobile applications, as well as developing and updating industrial mobile applications using the Android operating system—custom-built applications integrated with electronic devices and software for commercial use and measurement systems. Requirements: Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of: Native programming under the Android operating system: Kotlin/Java; Mobile-First interface design philosophy. Object-oriented programming, design patterns, software architecture, version control, refactoring, unit testing. Desirable knowledge and experience in: Concurrent development using Android Services, inter-process communication, and Android Interface Definition Language (AIDL). Integration with Android APIs developed on other platforms, such as Xamarin and .NET MAUI, and Java Native Interface (JNI). Skills and interests: Reading technical documents and API specifications; writing design documentation and technical solution specifications. Self-directed learning ability and proficiency in researching solutions for new development projects. Willingness to learn and collaborate across diverse programming environments. Prepared to work with clearly defined objectives and established delivery deadlines.
