Job Summary: Responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing field construction work, ensuring quality, safety, and resource control to achieve profitability. Key Highlights: 1. Lead the efficient and safe execution of construction projects. 2. Negotiate with key subcontractors and manage scope changes. 3. Recruit, train, and develop a core team of engineers and site supervisors. **Location:** Bajío Region / Field (with availability to visit project sites) **Salary Range:** $35,000 \- $40,000 per month **Education:** Civil Engineering and/or Architecture **Experience:** Minimum 5 years in similar roles **Job Objective** Ensure the efficient, safe, and controlled execution of assigned projects. The incumbent is directly responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing field construction work, ensuring compliance with project schedules, process quality, occupational safety, and strict control over material and human resources. The primary goal is to translate technical and budgetary planning into tangible, high-return outcomes. **Key Responsibilities** * **Planning and Strategy:** Approve the project master plan (scope, schedule, milestones), define production targets (linear meters, chambers/manholes), and ensure integration with procurement, permits, engineering, and logistics. * **Governance and Leadership:** Direct and lead the Project Manager. Proactively resolve escalated field impediments (permits, major utility interferences, conflicts with authorities) and ensure adherence to the control system. * **Financial and Contractual Control:** Safeguard project budget, cash flow, and profitability. Negotiate terms with key subcontractors (e.g., potholing, directional drilling) and manage scope changes or change orders with the client. * **Performance Monitoring:** Analyze schedule and cost variances and demand immediate recovery plans; approve executive reports and KPIs addressed to management and the client. * **Quality and Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure the project operates under a rigorous quality plan (as-built documentation, testing, depths), supervise HSE performance, and maintain institutional relationships for project release and closeout. * **Team Leadership:** Select, train, evaluate, and develop the core team (2 Project Managers and 6–8 Site Supervisors/Workers per project), implementing performance routines (one-on-one meetings and improvement plans). **Profile Requirements** **Education:** Graduate in Civil Engineering or Architecture. **Minimum Experience:** 5 years in civil works control, building construction, infrastructure, or ideally fiber-optic installation. **Leadership:** Proven experience supervising operational staff and mid-level management (Project Managers and Site Supervisors). **Knowledge:** Current construction regulations. **Mandatory:** Valid driver’s license and full schedule availability. **Desired Competencies** Strategic and timely decision-making. High-level negotiation skills (with subcontractors, clients, and authorities). Ability to work under pressure and focus on results (schedule-cost-productivity).
