**Health Sciences Faculty** **Pediatrics** **Position Objective:** To train students in the theoretical, clinical, and preventive foundations of pediatrics, developing competencies for the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of child and adolescent health, with a scientific, ethical, and humanistic approach. **Responsibilities:** * Recognize normal growth and development in children and adolescents, identifying physiological variations. * Analyze major health issues affecting the pediatric population and their biological, social, and environmental determinants. * Apply the clinical method to comprehensively evaluate pediatric patients, including history-taking, physical examination, and complementary studies. * Identify signs and symptoms of the most common diseases in childhood and adolescence to establish differential diagnoses. * Provide individualized follow-up for each student. **Requirements:** * Must hold a medical degree (General Medicine, Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician, or related field) and possess a valid professional license. * Must hold a specialization in Pediatrics. * A Master’s degree with title and professional license is desirable. * Minimum three years of teaching experience. * Familiarity with platforms such as Teams, Blackboard, or similar is desirable. **Competencies:** * Strong service orientation * Effective communication * Organizational skills * Ethics **Why Work at UVM?** We are Mexico’s largest private university, with 65 years of academic excellence, social commitment, and professional vision.
