Job Summary: We are seeking a Design Developer to transform creative concepts into technical and functional designs, optimizing processes and resources for the production of lighting fixtures, furniture, and jewelry. Use of 2D/3D design software and exploration of new technologies. **Job Description:** A design and manufacturing company specializing in lighting fixtures, furniture, and jewelry is expanding and seeking: Design Developer **Job Objective:** To develop and realize creative concepts as technical and functional designs ready for production. Ensure design feasibility while optimizing processes and resources. **Main Responsibilities:** * Develop technical designs based on sketches, specifications, and concepts provided by the Design and Development Committee, generating technical documentation, materials, and technologies applicable to the design and development process. * Create functional prototypes or samples to validate designs prior to large-scale production. * Collaborate with the production department to resolve technical challenges and ensure final product quality, as well as provide technical support to the design team in developing proposals and creative solutions. * Work with 2D and 3D design and modeling software to develop drawings, renders, and presentations. Research new techniques, materials, and technologies applicable to the design and development process. * Participate in product reviews and functional testing to identify potential improvements or issues, and comply with the company’s quality guidelines and policies. * Ensure alignment between creative concepts and customer and commercial department expectations. * Plan and coordinate all stages of product development, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets. * Define product technical specifications, materials, and manufacturing methods. * CNC lathe programming and operational support. **Job Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Design Engineering, or related fields. * Knowledge of prototyping and product development. * Manufacturing and fabrication: processes such as ceramics, goldsmithing, welding, or assembly. * Fundamentals of PMO. * Understanding of product development stages: research, design, prototyping, testing, launch, and continuous improvement. * Proficiency in design and modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Illustrator, Photoshop). * Digital rendering tools. * Knowledge of electrical regulations (not mandatory). **Glassford Moncada offers you:** * Monthly salary of $13,000 to $14,000. * Weekly payments. * Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Fridays until 4:00 PM). * Paid afternoon off on your birthday. * Career development opportunities. * Statutory benefits. * Punctuality bonus. * Option for an indefinite-term contract. * Central work location (Zapopan Center).
