




Java Architect – Mexico City (Hybrid) **Location:** Mexico City **Work Model:** Hybrid (3 to 5 days per week in the office based on customer needs) **Experience:** 8 – 15 years Role Overview We are seeking a **Java Architect** with deep experience designing highly scalable, secure, and resilient platforms for large\-scale, transaction\-intensive systems. This is a **hands\-on technical leadership role** focused on modern architectures, cloud\-native platforms, and distributed systems. Key Responsibilities * Define and own enterprise and solution architecture for mission\-critical platforms. * Design high\-throughput, low\-latency distributed systems with high availability. * Architect microservices\-based platforms using Java and Spring Boot. * Drive API\-first and event\-driven architecture standards. * Embed security\-by\-design and compliance (PCI\-DSS mindset). * Collaborate with product and engineering teams; review architecture and code. * Guide teams on performance, scalability, and resiliency best practices. Core Technical Skills * Java (8\+), Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Microservices, DDD, Design Patterns. * Distributed systems, Kafka, JMS, caching (Redis, Hazelcast). * RESTful APIs, API Gateway, OAuth2, JWT, mTLS. * Cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform. * Strong understanding of security principles, encryption, and tokenization. * Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB). * Observability tools: ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana; SRE concepts. Nice to Have * Experience in payments or financial services. * Knowledge of ISO 8583 or real\-time fraud detection. * Cloud or architecture certifications (AWS, TOGAF, etc.).
