Position Summary: Mainframe COBOL Developer responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of applications; requirements analysis; and problem resolution in critical production environments. Participation in legacy system modernization and integration Capital Empresarial Horizonte, a Mexican company specializing in Human Resources and Information Technologies, is seeking: Mainframe COBOL Developer **Conversational English required** **On-site work in Toluca (3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote)** * **Free transportation from El Ángel de la Independencia (round trip)** **Hybrid work model** **Requirements** * COBOL development experience in mainframe environments. * Knowledge of JCL and batch process management. * Experience with mainframe databases (DB2 or others). * Familiarity with transactional systems (CICS is a plus). * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Experience working in critical production environments. **Desired Qualifications** * Experience in legacy system migration or modernization. * Knowledge of integration with modern technologies (APIs, services). * Experience in sectors such as banking, insurance, or government. **Responsibilities** * Develop, maintain, and support mainframe applications using COBOL. * Analyze functional and technical requirements to implement efficient solutions. * Perform corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance of existing systems. * Manage and optimize batch and online processes in production environments. * Identify and resolve production incidents, ensuring operational continuity. * Collaborate with business, QA, and infrastructure teams for solution delivery. * Document developments, processes, and system changes. * Participate in modernization or integration initiatives with newer systems where applicable. **We Offer:** Standard office hours 100% payroll employment model Competitive salary negotiable based on experience Statutory benefits Enhanced benefits (family SGMM, SV coverage up to 1 million MXN, grocery vouchers, 30-day bonus, PTU)
