Through our robust product engineering, outstanding tooling capabilities and diverse process expertise, we continue to bring lightweight and innovative products to market. **Job Responsibilities:** ✅ **Purpose** Ensure compliance with quality, efficiency, and safety standards in painting processes through control of critical parameters, application of CQI\-12 (painting) and CQI\-9 (pyrometry), as well as analysis and resolution of defects. The Painting Specialist is responsible for maintaining process stability, ensuring coatings meet customer requirements, and leading continuous improvement initiatives in coordination with production, quality, and engineering. **Education:** * Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or related field. * Preferred specialization in coatings or automotive processes. **Experience:** * Minimum 3 years in automotive painting or industrial coating processes. * Experience in line startups, defect analysis, and curing oven control. **Technical Knowledge:** * Electrophoretic painting (E\-coat), primer, basecoat, and clear coat processes. * Application of **CQI\-12 (Painting Systems)** and **CQI\-9 (Pyrometry)** standards. * Curing oven validation (thermal mapping, temperature probes). * Control of application parameters: thickness, viscosity, curing time, etc. * Diagnosis and analysis of paint defects (orange peel, runs, craters, etc.). * Interpretation of drawings and technical specifications. * Quality tools: FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa. * Quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001\). * Preferred experience with monitoring systems or process control software. * Technical English (reading standards and basic communication). **Skills:** * High attention to detail. * Analytical ability for problem solving. **Awareness, Unity, Empowerment:** ---------------------------------- At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
