Position Summary: We are seeking a COBOL Mainframe Developer with experience in requirements analysis, application development and support, and incident resolution in production environments. Collaboration with business, QA, and infrastructure teams Capital Empresarial Horizonte, a Mexican company specializing in Human Resources and Information Technologies, is seeking: COBOL Mainframe Developer Conversational English required To work in Toluca (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) *Free transportation from El Ángel de la Independencia (round trip) Hybrid Work Model · Requirements Experience developing COBOL applications in mainframe environments. Knowledge of JCL and batch process management. Experience with mainframe databases (DB2 or others). Knowledge of transactional systems (CICS is a plus). Analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience working in critical production environments. Desirable Knowledge Experience in legacy system migration or modernization. Knowledge of integration with modern technologies (APIs, services). Experience in sectors such as banking, insurance, or government. · Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and provide support for applications in mainframe environments using COBOL. Analyze functional and technical requirements to implement efficient solutions. Perform corrective, preventive, and evolutionary maintenance on existing systems. Manage and optimize batch and online processes in production environments. Identify and resolve production incidents, ensuring operational continuity. Collaborate with business, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver solutions. Document developments, processes, and changes implemented in systems.
