We are competent, capable and we invest in our people and in our processes to ensure we continue to grow and do our best work every day. **Equality and Diversity** *Mergon is committed to the principle of equal opportunities in employment, and to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favorable treatment on the grounds of race, color, nationality, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, ethnic and national origin, disability, or gender reassignment.* **Key Responsibilities:** * Identify causes of problems in production related to tooling and automation and carry out corrective actions to continuously improve OEE * Repair extrusion tools and molds and carry out preventive maintenance on tools in line with IATF16949 standard to ensure reliable performance * Carry out modifications to molds and fixtures as a result of customer requested engineering changes and internal corrective actions to improve performance * Test and check molds and fixtures to ensure readiness for production and reliable performance * Carry out inspection on new molds and modify to correct any issues * Writing and optimizing CNC programs to create complex parts and components * Selecting the appropriate tools, machines and materials for each job * Testing programs and adjusting ensure efficiency and quality * Collaborating with engineering team to evaluate project requirements and resolve issues related to machine set up and programmed performance * Maintaining records and documentation for machine specifications and programming notes **To be successful in this role, you will likely have:** * Accuracy of Work * First time right programs/Rework * Downtime * Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) * Improve and Maintain the Operational KPI´s according to Mergon Mexico Standard: * OEE 90% * Scrap 1% **Essential Skills \& Experience**: * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Tooling Technician or related field; or 5\+ years * Minimum \+5 years of process experience in blow molding and injection molding * Automotive industry experience (ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 preferred). + Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with high attention to detail. + Self\-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently or collaboratively. + Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. + Proficiency in English * Experience with plastics manufacturing. * Visa and passport / Available to travel
