The ECM Technician processes parts through machining operations and related tasks. Operates numerical control machines for the aerospace industry. Responsible for material movement from warehouse to department or between departments. Maintains and improves quality, safety, equipment, autonomous maintenance, and supply standards. Complies with and enforces the Code of Ethics. Respects and complies with the Quality Policy, Health and Safety regulations, and the Quality Management System.**Job Description** =================== **Roles and Responsibilities:** ------------------------------ * Perform all operations in automatic mode solely for operation and support purposes, to verify the quality of manufactured parts. * Operate machines according to process sheets, work instructions, or any other requirements (customer specifications, engineering drawings, etc.). * Verify parts using correct measurements to ensure compliance with specifications. * Perform autonomous maintenance in accordance with TPM documentation and 5S instructions. * Use manufacturing documentation (route sheets, first-article inspections, etc.) to produce quality-compliant products; inspect and verify work before sending it for inspection, and if nonconforming, process it per nonconforming material procedures. * Meet time standards and scheduling requirements for assigned work. * Notify supervisor of any issues that arise. * Verify, prior to part inspection, that properly calibrated and labeled measuring instruments are used, with valid calibration dates issued by the metrology department. * Maintain specifications by ensuring cutting tools operate correctly across various operations: drilling, grooving, roughing, finishing, etc. * Maintain safe operations by complying with safety procedures and regulations. * Ensure shift continuity by documenting and communicating ongoing actions, irregularities, and needs. * Document actions by completing production and quality records, either in physical format or in SAP. * Update job-related knowledge by participating in training. * Select the appropriate deburring container for the workpiece and store deburring waste correctly in the collection area. * Work efficiently to achieve production targets. * Meet ATEM objectives by accepting achievements and requesting new needs. * Follow regulatory body standards or policies (AS, NADCAP, or GE). * Maintain an excellent employment record (e.g., attendance, attitude, productivity). * Possess the ability to apply required physical effort (e.g., lifting materials up to 40 lb). * Have skill in using tools and measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges). * Have the ability to read and interpret drawings. * Possess a high level of manual dexterity. Specific Requirements: * Knowledge of manual processes, such as rework. Knowledge of powered tool usage (e.g., moto-tool). Knowledge of drawing reading and interpretation. Knowledge of measuring instrument usage (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
