Description

Plan material requirements and ensure supply of raw materials/packaging to meet monthly forecasts. Manage inventory levels and schedules to achieve customer service/inventory objectives. Review and monitor purchase order releases, take action on exceptions or changes, and coordinate bill-of-materials in an MRP environment. **GENERAL FUNCTIONS** * Know and apply policies and procedures of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001\), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001\), Occupational Health, Safety and Hygiene Management System (ISO 45001\), and any other management systems required by the company for its operations. * Follow plant quality system procedures (QSP), related SOPs, control plans, and work instructions to maintain compliance with ISO requirements. * Use forecasted requirements in MRP, JDE, and Kinaxis to manage material purchasing activities, considering coverage and customer service targets and objectives. * Review material coverage (OH), adjust raw material requirements and deliveries in the short- and medium-term to minimize risks of SLOB, write-offs, and excess inventory. * Place purchase orders for raw materials and packaging specific to assigned brands against contracts established with suppliers previously designated by corporate procurement, considering minimum order quantities and agreed lead times. * Ensure delivery confirmation and track arrival. Timely share, per established procedures, the need for material pickup aligned with the Incoterm agreed upon by corporate procurement with the logistics team. * Ensure the purchasing process is completed by supporting the accounts payable team in closing payment exceptions (Appzen) in applicable documents. * Support the quality team in closing and collecting supplier claims, assisting in credit note management. * Share monthly consumption forecasts with suppliers (Forecast) to guarantee timely supply and avoid impacts on customer service. * Manage raw material and packaging inventory levels to meet corporate, plant, and individual objectives. * Coordinate with the Warehouse team to meet month-end objectives. * Recommend changes to procedures and work plans to improve overall inventory management with the goal of reducing inventory while maintaining customer service levels. * Maintain data accuracy within the ERP system as needed. This includes ensuring bill-of-materials accuracy, proper configuration of rejection factors, updated supplier lead times, order quantity strategies, and production run size information. * Take direct action on exceptions and changes in MRP to achieve required inventory and service objectives. * Maintain strong working relationships with all departments within the plant and with all external customers and suppliers. * Manage obsolescence of assigned brands (SLOB) to minimize financial exposure to the business caused by changes to existing products or discontinued products. * Escalate any risk situation compromising operations or workforce deployment per established processes. * Supervise, track, and adjust purchase orders in the ERP system to ensure system information remains accurate. * Manage all EPD projects to ensure scheduled launches for assigned brands. * Participate in NPD projects to ensure material planning and supply responsibilities are covered for new product launches. * Support and actively participate in the plant’s objective to foster a self-managed team-based environment. * Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Materials Manager. * All other duties related to the position. **POSITION PROFILE** **Reports to:** Materials Manager. **Education Level:** University degree. **Field of Study:** Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. **English Proficiency:** Advanced. **Years of Experience:** 2\-3 years. **Experience Description:** Material planning using MRP, timely and accurate execution of material purchasing processes, ERP system usage, supply chain knowledge. **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** * Knowledge of Quality System procedures, related SOPs, and work instructions. * Effective team dynamics skills. * Knowledge of ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Kinaxis), Appzen, MRP, and inventory control. * Proficient use of Office suite (Advanced). * Appropriate supplier management aligned with business needs. * Understanding of financial impacts to improve decision-making in the procurement process. * Advanced problem-solving ability. **BEHAVIOR AND ATTITUDES** * Effective communication skills (mutual understanding and support). * Teamwork. * Results-oriented. * Composure under pressure. * Multitasking capability while maintaining attention to detail.
