Professional development and growth plan **COMPANY DESCRIPTION** SUN DIGITAL S.A. de C.V. is a company dedicated to graphic arts, digital printing, and 3D solutions, focused on delivering high-quality products, technological innovation, and reliable service to its customers. **GENERAL INFORMATION** Position: Mechanical Design Engineer **LOCATION** Area / Address: Mexico City (CDMX) **WORK SCHEDULE** * Days: Monday to Friday * Hours: 08:00 to 18:30 hrs * Rest days: Saturday and Sunday **POSITION DESCRIPTION** Position responsible for the mechanical design of parts, assemblies, and structural mechanisms, ensuring developments are safe, robust, and technically validated through calculation and simulation, ready for manufacturing via machining, welding, 3D printing, and, in the future, injection molding. **REQUIREMENTS** * Education: Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field * Experience: Preferred experience in mechanical design, product development, or engineering projects **Technical Knowledge:** * Structural and mechanism mechanical design * Practical calculations: statics, mechanics of materials, torque and power * Safety factor criteria * Tolerances and assemblies (fits, clearances, and simple tolerance stack-up) * Understanding of manufacturing processes: machining, welding, sheet metal, and 3D printing; basic knowledge of DFM and injection molding Tools or software: * 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred; Inventor or Fusion 360 acceptable) * Finite Element Analysis (SolidWorks Simulation, Ansys, Nastran or other) Key competencies: Technical analysis, attention to detail, organization, documentation, and effective communication **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * 3D CAD modeling of parts and assemblies; creation of 2D drawings with tolerances and practical GD&T * Performing load, moment, stress, and deflection calculations * Selection of materials and mechanical components (fasteners, bearings, shafts, gears) * Basic–intermediate FEA analysis: correct definition of loads and constraints, and interpretation of results * Sizing of mechanisms and transmission systems (gears, lead screws, belts/chains, and actuators) * Prototyping and testing: defining validation plans, design iteration, and failure analysis * Technical documentation: BOM, version control, and assembly instructions **WE OFFER** * Salary: $18,000 to $20,000 MXN per month * Statutory benefits * Direct employment with SUN DIGITAL * Job stability * Professional development * Growth plan APPLICATION Apply through this channel.
