A Day In The Life * Process Release: Perform "First Piece" release at critical stations: Turrets, Laser, Bending Machine, Welding, Painting, and Assembly. * Dimensional Inspection: Validate that parts meet drawing specifications using precision measuring equipment. * Non-Conforming Material Control: Identify, segregate, and label defective material, immediately notifying involved departments. * PPM Management: Capture and analyze daily defects to update parts-per-million charts. * Engineering Support: Collaborate with the Quality Engineer on root cause analysis and execution of Kaizen events for continuous improvement. * Standards Audit: Verify that operational personnel follow current visual aids and work instructions. What will help you thrive in this role? * Completed high school diploma (mandatory) or Technical/Incomplete Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, or related field). * Technical Knowledge: * Technical Drawing Interpretation: Reading drawings, basic symbols, and tolerances. * Metrology: Use and handling of measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, tape measure, height gauge). * Computer Skills: Basic-to-intermediate level (Excel for control charts and reporting). * Quality Standards: Handling of visual aids, work sheets, and operation instructions. * Soft Skills: Communication and negotiation: Ability to assertively communicate rejections to production and negotiate containment timelines. * Decision Making: Based on data and technical criteria. **Hubbell Incorporated** Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
