Test Technician, 2nd Shift

Description

Job Summary: Responsible for meeting production and quality targets, supporting the development and maintenance of test equipment, and diagnosing/repairing faults. Key Responsibilities: 1. Development and maintenance of test equipment. 2. Diagnosis and repair of fixtures and test equipment. 3. Support for NPI and production related to test equipment. **OBJECTIVE:** * Meet departmental production goals regarding schedule, quality, and training. * Work within the QM system parameters to help Variosystems achieve overall and specific corporate quality and growth objectives. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Collaborate with test engineers and/or customers as required to validate, implement, and develop test equipment and/or fixtures (ICT and FCT). * Develop preventive and corrective maintenance procedures, including spare parts lists and work instructions related to maintenance (troubleshooting). * Provide support to NPI and production areas concerning test equipment. * Clean and organize the work area as needed. * Maintain traceability of tooling through a fixture status matrix. * Perform all additional functions assigned to achieve objectives. * Diagnose and repair fixtures or test equipment. * Diagnose and analyze board failures; generate failure reports for production. **JOB REQUIREMENTS:** * Technical degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or related field. * 1–3 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting. * Knowledge of schematic drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and test procedures. * Familiarity with IPC\-610 acceptance and rejection criteria related to printed circuit board assemblies. * Knowledge of component manufacturer datasheets related to design packages, part numbers and lots, correct orientation, and other technical data as required. * Ability to read electronic diagrams. * Knowledge of programming languages (C\+\+, Visual Basic)
