Summary: This role involves technical functions within the medical department, assisting staff physicians in occupational health prevention and care. Highlights: 1. Support occupational health and safety programs 2. Assist physicians with treatments and health assessments 3. Maintain medical records and inventory control **SECTION I:** GENERAL DESCRIPTION Assigned to carry out technical functions within the medical department, as well as to assist the staff physician in the prevention and care of occupational health. **SECTION II:** EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Licensed Nurse / General Nurse / Nursing Assistant education 1 year of experience in the position **SECTION III:** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS Knowledge of basic computer programs COVID\-19 procedures Clinic regulations and processes for promoting workers’ health Introduction to applicable regulations **SECTION IV:** MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identify potential agents as causes of occupational risks based on employees’ reports. Provide guidance to employees regarding IMSS services. Assist the physician with treatments and health assessments. Maintain care logs and biohazardous waste records. Assist the physician in conducting pre\-employment medical exams and monitor periodic and special examinations for workers as recommended by the physician for occupational risk prevention. Prepare and maintain employee medical records, related documentation, and provide necessary care to all workers. Keep documented control of medical leaves resulting from general illness, occupational risk, and maternity. Manage inventory control of medications and medical supplies, and ensure the emergency medical kit is available in case of evacuation. Follow up on the preventive internal audit program in the company cafeteria. Follow up on the preventive maintenance program for equipment used in pre\-employment, periodic, and special medical examinations. Perform any other task or responsibility assigned by the department supervisor. Participate in activities related to safety. Participate in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) requirements related to ISO 9001:2015 applicable to the position. Complete planned training related to Quality and Training on time. Identify and report any quality or compliance issues and support corrective actions.
