Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining the chemical and hazardous waste storage area clean, organized, classified, and properly identified, as well as for its safe handling, control, and disposal. Key Responsibilities: 1. Comprehensive management of hazardous waste and chemicals. 2. Participation in environmental audits and awareness campaigns. 3. Training in fire prevention and protection. Under direct supervision, maintains the chemical and hazardous waste storage area clean, organized, classified, and properly identified. Handles and controls products and waste through storage, labeling, picking, and collection of waste from all production areas across the facility, as well as safe disposal. Maintains logbooks for both chemical and hazardous waste incoming and outgoing entries. Performs pretreatment of wastewater from production areas, and carries out all administrative tasks required to fulfill this role. Technical and administrative knowledge of storage, control, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste and special-handling waste. Environmental studies. Environmental impact assessments. Compliance with applicable environmental regulations (SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, state and municipal regulations). Support for internal and external environmental audits. Participate in plant walkthroughs to identify environmental aspects and impacts. Support environmental awareness campaigns and continuous improvement initiatives. Fire prevention and control. Fire risk assessment. Coordination of emergency response teams. Conducting drills (chemical spills, evacuation, fires). Contingency plans. Control of waste logbooks. Control of hazardous waste inventory in storage. Maintain updated inventories. Ensure adequate stock of chemicals. Proper handling of chemicals and hazardous waste. Control of chemical disposal. NOM\-052\-SEMARNAT\-2005 NOM\-161\-SEMARNAT\-2011 NOM\-087\-SEMARNAT\-SSA1\-2002 NOM\-002\-STPS (Fire Prevention and Protection) NOM\-018\-STPS (Chemical Substances) Forklift operation. Professional Technician in Chemistry and/or High School Diploma. 1 year of experience in this or similar position.
