Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Engineer to manage new project activities in the automotive industry, ensuring the quality and functionality of manufactured parts. Key Highlights: 1. Leadership in the introduction of new components Join our SL MEX SLP team, We are an automotive sector company with over 70 years of experience, globally recognized with more than 29 plants across various regions worldwide (Korea, China, Brazil, India, United States, Germany, Poland, and soon in Mexico), supplying BMW, GM, KIA, and Hyundai. Your responsibilities will include managing program-specific activities required for the introduction of new projects at the plant. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and audit suppliers, ensuring the quality and functionality of manufactured parts. - Coordinate incoming inspection of components. - Participate in supplier evaluation and development. - Reduce supplier non-conformance metrics (PPM). - Manage activities related to the introduction of new components (EWO). - Support root cause analysis of quality issues. - Ensure on-time PPAP submissions in collaboration with the supply base. - Supervise and lead the incoming inspection team. Knowledge and Skills: - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. - Familiarity with AIAG standards. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or ERP systems. - Data analysis and complex problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. - Capability to lead and manage work teams. - Willingness to travel as required by project needs. Requirements: - 5 to 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably in the automotive industry. - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Advanced English proficiency.
