Junior Systems Engineer – Backend & AI Automation Location: Guadalajara Employment Type: Full-time Level: Recent graduate / Junior ⸻ About the project At NeuSynapse, we’re looking for a Junior Systems Engineer with solid foundations and strong motivation to grow—someone eager to participate in building a real system from scratch, directly guided by the founder and supported by continuous technical mentorship. ⸻ Responsibilities * Implement backend logic using JavaScript / TypeScript * Build and maintain REST APIs * Integrate external services via webhooks * Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL / Supabase) * Implement conversation flows and state logic * Integrate language models (OpenAI or others) * Support automation and process orchestration * Independently read, debug, and resolve errors * Collaborate directly with the founder on technical decisions ⸻ Technical requirements (mandatory) * Degree in Systems Engineering / Software Engineering / Computer Science (recent graduate or ≤ 2 years of experience) * Solid knowledge of: * JavaScript or TypeScript * Node.js * REST APIs * JSON and handling requests/responses * Basic knowledge of: * SQL * Relational databases * Git (commits, branches) * Ability to read and understand error messages * Genuine desire to learn and grow technically ⸻ Desirable requirements (not mandatory) * Experience with: * Supabase * PostgreSQL * n8n, Zapier, or other automation tools * OpenAI API or LLMs * Interest in applied artificial intelligence * Experience integrating external services (Twilio, WhatsApp, etc.) ⸻ Profile we’re seeking * Curious and self-taught * Comfortable working with guidance and feedback * Execution-oriented, not just theoretical * Capable of working with ambiguity * Interested in building real systems, not just example apps ⸻ This position is NOT for you if: * You’re only interested in frontend or UI design * You dislike debugging errors * You need step-by-step instructions for everything * You’re not interested in artificial intelligence * You’re seeking a rigid corporate role ⸻ Compensation * $13,500 – $16,000 MXN monthly. * Flexible work arrangement (office / remote) * Accelerated professional growth * Direct hands-on work on a real, scalable product * Opportunity for growth within the project ⸻ How to apply Please send: 1.
