**Job Objective**
Design, develop, implement, and maintain industrial automation systems to optimize production processes, improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime, and ensure reliability of plant automated equipment and systems.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
* Design and implement industrial automation projects.
* Program and maintain PLCs and control systems.
* Responsible for implementing automation projects for production machinery and equipment using programmable logic controllers (PLCs); program modification; migration of legacy programs to new platforms.
* Develop improvements for automated production lines.
* Diagnose and resolve electrical, electronic, and control faults.
* Coordinate installation and commissioning of new automated equipment.
* Perform backups and version control of automation programs.
* Participate in continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
* Optimize machine cycle times and efficiency.
* Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams.
* Prepare electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
* Coordinate with external vendors and system integrators.
* Implement safety devices on machinery.
* Validate operation of sensors, servo motors, variable frequency drives, and robots.
* Train technical and operations personnel on automated systems.
* Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards.
**Education**
\* Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electromechanics, or related field.
**Experience**
\* 2–5 years in industrial automation.
\* Experience in manufacturing or contract manufacturing industries.
\* Desired experience in assembly lines, molding, or automatic processes.
Knowledge
\* PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.).
\* Industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
\* Sensors and pneumatic systems.
\* Variable frequency drives and servo motors.
\* Industrial robotics (desirable).
\* Interpretation of electrical and pneumatic diagrams.
\* Industrial electrical control.
\* TPM and continuous improvement.
\* Machinery safety regulations.
